After graduating with honours from the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Ms Yermekbayeva worked for KazEnergy organization as a manager in the international department.
In 2008 she graduated from Bellerbys College (UK) with “The Best pre-master student” award. During her stay in Bellerbys College she applied and was admitted to the University of Bath (UK), School of Management. After returning to Kazakhstan she was awarded a Bolashak scholarship to study there. Diana Yermekbayeva got her MSc degree in Finance and Accounting. She graduated with distinction from the University of Bath.
Miss Yermekbayeva worked for LLP Danon Kazakhstan as a MT Reporting specialist. Her main responsibilities were preparation of financial statements and conducting financial analysis.
In 2008 Diana Yermekbayeva joined the ISE team. She is currently a full time lecturer in Finance and the ISE Deputy Dean in ISE.
Teaching disciplines: Corporate Finance, Financial Intermediation, Introduction to Finance and Banking
Research interests: Bank’ Profitability and Banks’ efficiency. Role of banks in the financial system. The effect of mergers and acquisitions on banks’ efficiency. Diana Yermekbayeva has several publications in this area.
